Hye-won Lee and her husband Ahn Jung-hwan started a wine can business. Hye-won Lee, who suffers from a panic disorder, is absorbed in selling canned wine while declaring the benefits of drinking, as a ‘businessman’.

On the 15th, Hyewon Lee posted on her Instagram, “Sales will start on October 17th. Show lots of interest and love.” In the video posted together, Ahn Jung-hwan and Lee Hye-won were introduced to canned wine products. Ahn Jung-hwan and Lee Hye-won collaborated with canned wine brand West Wilder to launch a special edition to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 2002 World Cup.

In the video, Hyewon Lee showed the wine lover’s side, saying, “Drinking and sleeping at night has become a routine.” Ahn Jung-hwan showed his love for wine, saying, “It goes well with any kind of food, like kimchi stew and soybean paste stew.” Also, Hyewon Lee introduced the merits of canned wine, saying, “When I went to play golf, they said it was sensible to bring wine in a can.” On the 16th, the next day, he posted on Ingram with information about going into the department store and boasted, “I can’t go because the amount is limited. I’m sorry.”

Lee Hye-won previously revealed that she suffers from panic disorder. Panic disorder is known to have complex causes, such as genetic factors, excessive stress, fatigue, traumatic events, and smoking or drinking. Therefore, patients with panic disorder are advised to refrain from drinking alcohol. However, Hye-won Lee started a canned wine business and encouraged drinking. Furthermore, there was no information about the side effects of drinking in the post. Being ‘buried’ in the sale of tinned wine, awareness of the dangers of drinking has loosened.

Apart from Lee Hye-won, more and more celebrities have joined the liquor business recently. There is what is known as ‘Park Jae-beom Soju’, ‘Ssam D Beer’, and ‘Urban Zakapa Park Yong-in Butter Beer’. In the case of Wonjuju, presented by Jay Park, the product was sold out in department stores in Yeouido and pop-up shops on Garosu-gil. Despite the high price of 14,900 won per bottle, Wonju hit the jackpot with ‘I couldn’t buy it so I couldn’t buy it’. Wonju Classic has won a whopping 21,900. Soju buyers enjoyed the ‘victory’ and boasted by leaving a ‘certification shot’ on social media.

The curiosity raised by the fact that it was a product introduced by a popular celebrity and the rarity of being a limited edition product further stimulated the desire to buy. Lee Hye-won’s Instagram is also flooded with comments from people who are ‘frustrated’ because they have already been unable to find the product. Ahn Jung-hwan and Lee Hye-even won the promotional phrase ‘World Cup commemoration’ for their personal business. This is the reason why we are concerned about the ‘market’ which puts the fan’s heart on its back.
