Professor Soo-jeong Lee of Kyonggi University, the first person to be recruited by the People Power Party, explained his controversial remarks regarding the ‘Kim Geon-hee luxury bag’ by saying, “I never said that,” and “I said it was true.”
Professor Lee appeared on SBS Radio on the 26th and said, “Ajummas like me can’t carry such expensive luxury bags. That’s why we often ask, ‘Is that really true?’ “I say this,” he said.
Professor Lee said, “(The remark at the time) was broadcast on YouTube, and while it was just a joke, I said, ‘It’s true,’ but I don’t know when they reported so definitively that I said it was fake. (I don’t know),” and “It was very malicious and intended. “I think this is what the reports say,” he explained.

He said, “If I had received such a gift from students, of course I would have returned it and scolded them on the spot.”
