In the English Premier League football 2023/2024, week 2 clash, Liverpool faced Bournemouth at Anfield. The second half saw Liverpool reduced to 10 men in the 58th minute when Alexis Mac Allister received a straight red card for a harsh tackle on Ryan Christie.

Despite being a player down, Liverpool managed to extend their lead in the 62nd minute. Dominic Soboslai’s shot from the edge of the penalty area was saved by Neto, but Diogo Jota pounced on the rebound to make it 3-1.

Following their third goal, Liverpool introduced new signing Wataru Endo, who made his debut as a substitute in the 63rd minute, replacing Godi Kakpo.
