MacBook Air with M2 chipset to be released on July 15th

According to MacRumors, a foreign news outlet specializing in Apple on June 29, the MacBook Air equipped with Apple’s new chipset M2 chip will be released on July 15th and will be available for pre-order from July 8th, citing sources and foreign media.

Apple previously announced and demonstrated detailed specifications at the Apple World Developers Conference (WWDC). The new MacBook Air features a thinner and redesigned design compared to its predecessor. The thickness is 1.13 cm and the weight is only 1.24 kg, and it has a 100% aluminum unibody exterior. It includes a 34.5cm Liquid Retina display, 1080p HD camera, MagSafe charging and more, and supports 24GB of high-speed integrated memory, a ProRes accelerator, and up to 20 hours of battery life.

M2 has 10 cores with 2 cores expanded compared to M1, and a next-generation GPU is also installed. It also supports 100GB/s of integrated memory bandwidth and up to 24GB of high-speed integrated memory. The M2 adds a next-generation media engine for hardware-accelerated encoding and decoding and the powerful ProRes video engine, and systems equipped with the M2 can play more 4K and 8K video streams than ever before.

MacBook Air equipped with M2 chipset is available in two additional colors, Starlight, in addition to Silver, Space Gray and Midnight. Domestic prices start at a minimum of 16,90 million won.
