A man in his 40s has been fined for verbally abusing the business owner over the phone because he didn’t like the sweet and sour pork sauce he ordered for delivery.
According to the legal community, on the 26th, Judge Kim Ji-hoo of the Criminal Division 2 of the Incheon District Court sentenced Mr. A (41 years old), indicted on charges of intimidation, to a fine of 3 million won.
Mr A is accused of threatening the owner, B (34), by calling a nearby restaurant from her home in Seo-gu, Incheon, at around 12.48am on July 18, 2021.
Person A said he didn’t like the sauce on the sweet and sour pork he had ordered for delivery and asked Person B for a refund. However, when Mr B said: “We can’t give you a refund”, the investigation he found out that she continued to use harsh words and threaten him.
He said: “Whether you record it or not, the police will come. Come now. (In the industry) they are driving it crazy” “Make no mistake, before you become x, really you” “Hey, don’t say ‘customer’. “Fuck, I’m kidding.”
Judge Kim explained the reason for the sentence, saying: “When considering the circumstances and method of the crime, the nature of the crime is not good”, but “I took into account the fact that the defendant recognized his mistake and He was thinking about it.”
