In the second period, Marner seized an opportunity to score a breakaway goal, leveling the game at 1-1. John Tavares assisted with a long pass that caught Utah’s defense off guard. Marner then scored a power-play goal shortly after, putting Toronto ahead. William Nylander added another goal, pushing the score to 3-1.
Struggles for Utah
