NetEase Games will release its superhero game, Marvel Rivals, on December 6, 2024. The game features a solid roster with 33 playable characters, of which 27 have been announced. Players can access all characters for free upon launch.

This information was shared in a new developer video over the weekend. The game will start with Season 0, named "Dooms Rise," lasting until the official Season 1 begins in January 2025. Season 0 will offer a shorter duration than standard three-month seasons, and the Battle Pass will be priced accordingly. At launch, players will have nine maps to explore—eight for Quick Match and one for Conquest.

The developers promise no pay-to-win features. Monetization will come from a Battle Pass and an in-game store selling skins and cosmetic items.
