– Looking back on this tournament

I ended up in 6th place, which was a decent amount of points, but there were things I practiced well and things I wasn’t able to show in the games, so it was a tournament that made me think I was still be. have to improve.

— What aspects of your game could you not showcase?

There was a part where I kept going on the defensive when the opponent came forward, so I think I should have been more decisive in that area.

–I think you are getting closer to participating in the singles at the Paris Olympics.

As for my position, I’m still in second place, but now it’s competition time, and there’s also the All Japan Championship, so I want to prepare well for that and finish by being able to do what I wasn’t to be able to do this time.

–About the point difference with Mima Ito

It wasn’t much different from before this tournament started, so I thought it would last until All Japan, so I lost once (this tournament) and I was able to withstand the tough moments , so there were some good parts, but I finished. losing at the end. It was a tournament with some bad points, so I thought there was a lot of work to do.

— Did you think about the points difference before the game?

I played the game trying not to think about it, but I went into the game with a strong feeling, but I realized that it won’t be easy to win in Japan.

–Regarding the selection meeting that lasted about a year and a half

I think I have been able to grow.

When I looked at the results, there were times when I was heartbroken at first, but in the end, even though I lost, I managed to finish in 6th place and be in 2nd place overall. the efforts and support of the coaches and players around me.

There are some areas where I have grown in the last year and a half, so I want to make it to the end with confidence.

— Thoughts on singles

The All Japan Championship is still left, but it’s no exaggeration to say that I’ve worked hard over the past few years to take part in the singles at the Paris Olympics, so this time I definitely want to go to second place and take part. in the Olympics.

–I was aware of Ito’s game.

First of all, my game is important, so I didn’t think about Ito and focused on my game.
