The popular Naples Grape Festival returns to Ontario County for the weekend of Sept. 26 to Sept. 27, 2026, bringing thousands of visitors to the village despite a major local road closure. The annual fall celebration runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, operating rain or shine across local grounds including the Naples Memorial Town Hall and Naples High School.
Traffic Detours and Route Planning for Festival Visitors
State Route 21 in the town of South Bristol is closed to all traffic between Griesa Hill Road and state Route 64 for a culvert replacement project, directly impacting motorists traveling from the north. The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging drivers to plan routes in advance, allow additional travel time, and obey all posted traffic-control signs. County Road 12 serves as the official posted detour for the closure, and officials anticipate heavy traffic on that roadway throughout the weekend. Alternative routes are available depending on a driver’s direction of approach. Motorists coming from the north may use County Road 36 or County Road 33, while travelers from the northeast can utilize state Route 245. Visitors arriving from the northwest can travel south on Interstate 390 and exit near Wayland, or use state Route 15 and 15A.
Contests, Beverages, and Entertainment Events
Saturday’s main attraction is the Naples Greatest Grape Pie Contest, with a panel of judges beginning the tasting competition at noon. Visitors can also sample wines, craft beers, ciders, and spirits from regional producers at the Brahm Moore Beverage Garden, located on the grounds of the Naples Memorial Town Hall at 135 N. Main St. Admission to the beverage garden is $20 and includes a monogrammed festival wine glass. Arts and crafts vendors are stationed across the grounds of the town hall and Naples High School at 136 N. Main St. Live music performances are scheduled throughout both days of the festival.
