[서울=뉴스핌] Reporter Yang Tae-hoon = Neowiz announced on the 2nd that his mobile healing game ‘Cats & Soup’ has received a license from the Ministry of Newspaper, Publishing and Industry of the State of China.
‘Cat and Soup’ is an idle healing game developed by Neowiz subsidiary HiDeer, featuring cute cartoon style illustrations and simple controls. This game was released to the global market in October 2021, and has recorded 55 million downloads through Google Play Store and Apple App Store. In November 2022, it achieved the feat of becoming the first Korean game to be released on Netflix through ‘Cat and Soup – Netflix Edition’.
The Chinese service for ‘Cat and Soup’ is handled by ‘Kingsoft Shiyou’, a game company under the China Kingsoft Group. Founded in 2016, Kingsoft Siyo is a games division subsidiary of Kingsoft, China’s largest software company, and is engaged in online game development, global publishing, and investment.

To commemorate the publication of the official edition, Neowiz and Kingsoft Siyo are holding a free event for limited time Valentine’s Day items until the 28th of this month. In addition, we plan to further enhance the fun of the game by updating various new content such as ‘Tomato Slicing’, ‘Tower Ball’, and ‘American Bobtail’.
Meanwhile, Neowiz is developing new games in different genres such as social network games (SNGs) and simulation games using the ‘Cat and Soup’ IP, and intends to provide new fun and experiences to users.
