New update for ‘Galaxy S6’ series 7 years after its release.. Fix GPS bug?

Samsung Electronics provides new updates to the Galaxy S6 series, which is 7 years since its release.

According to the Dutch media Galaxy Club, Samsung provides the latest updates to models ▲ Galaxy S6 ▲ Galaxy S6 Edge ▲ Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (+).

In the Netherlands, the firmware G928FXXU5CVG3 is provided for the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, and the firmware G920FXXU6EVG1 and G925FXXU6EVG3 are provided for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge models released by Vodafone, respectively.

Samsung Electronics said that performance improvements and bug fixes have been made in this update, but foreign media said that it is very likely that the update includes the location information system (GPS).

Samsung has been offering updates since last month to fix GPS issues on older devices. The Galaxy S7 series and the Galaxy S8 series released in 2016 and 2017 all received updates that fixed the GPS bug in August.
