The title is a cinematic third-person action-adventure game set on Persephone, described as an uncharted and frozen world. The game is available as a day-one release and is optimized for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Play Anywhere.

Sci-Fi Narrative and Setting

The narrative of Aphelion is set in a future where Earth is projected to be uninhabitable by the year 2060. In response, the European Space Agency dispatched the Hope-01 scientific mission to the edge of the solar system to survey the planet Persephone and determine if it can sustain human civilization.

Players follow the experiences of two astronauts, Ariane and Thomas, who find themselves stranded and isolated on the frozen world. The gameplay involves traversing alien landscapes and uncovering secrets buried beneath the ice while avoiding various threats.

Strategic Previews and Catalog Growth

On April 30, 2026, Xbox Game Pass added a game preview for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era. This entry in the long-running series focuses on strategic empire building and turn-based tactical battles, incorporating in-depth RPG mechanics.

The Olden Era preview allows players to explore a world populated by spellcasters and mythical creatures. The experience includes an epic narrative campaign focused on impending doom, as well as the ability to conquer both hand-crafted and procedurally generated maps by building cities and raising armies.
