The Federal Republic of Nigeria is actively engaged in structured security cooperation with international partners, including the United States, to combat the ongoing threat of terrorism and violent extremism. This collaboration has contributed to accomplished targeted airstrikes against terrorist groups operating in Nigeria’s Northwest region.
This cooperation adheres to established international protocols and bilateral agreements, encompassing intelligence sharing, strategic coordination, and support mechanisms consistent with international law, respect for national sovereignty, and shared security objectives.
