Officially: Hossam Hassan is the coach of the Egyptian national team

The Egyptian Federation said in a two-official statement that Hossam Hassan was appointed coach of the first team, and the Federation also decided to appoint his brother Ibrahim Hassan as manager of the national team.

On Tuesday, the Minister of Sports and a number of members of the Football Association held a meeting with Hossam Hassan to discuss all the details regarding his announcement as technical director of Egypt’s first national team, after the departure of Portuguese Rui Vitoria.

The meeting also witnessed the presence of Alaa Nabil, Technical Director of the Football Association. The Minister of Sports and members of the Football Association also affirmed their great confidence in Hossam Hassan and his support during the next stage as coach of the Egyptian national team.

For his part, the former Dean of World Players, Hossam Hassan, responded: “I am in the service of my country, and training the national team is a big dream. I have been waiting for it for years, and I have no conditions.”

It is noteworthy that the largest forum that Hossam Hassan will be waiting for is the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
