Shenzhen: A father made his son play a video game for 17 hours straight as punishment for using his phone late at night. An 11-year-old boy named Huang received this strange punishment in China. This was for the son to understand the consequences of excessive use of technology. The boy asked for forgiveness, but the father refused to give up the punishment.
Huang also shared the video on Douin, the Chinese version of Tik Tok. At 1:30 am, Huang was holding his son playing a video game on his phone. The child is playing on the phone while sleeping on the chair. Seeing this, Huang punished his son to teach him a lesson.
“My father caught me and punished me. Let me play until I’ve had enough, let me play until I vomit…”, the boy wrote in the apology note. The boy says he fell asleep during the punishment and was woken up several times and thus played for 17 hours. He noted that from now on he will sleep before 11 pm and will not play on his phone before going to bed.
When his son started crying, Huang made the punishment enough. Although Huang says his method of punishment is effective, other parents should not punish their children in this way. People who saw the video on social media came out in support and against Huang. Although some are of the opinion that punishment is necessary, others are against punishing children so cruelly.
