The opposition party unanimously criticized former JoongAng Ilbo editorial writer Jin Kim, who appeared as a conservative panelist on MBC’s ‘100 Minute Debate’, for saying, ‘The country is ruined by young people, the old people will save it.’

Kim Min-jeong, spokesperson for the Green Justice Party, asked at a National Assembly briefing, “Did young people even have a chance to ruin the country?” and said, “We are angry at the Yoon Seok-yeol regime and the ruling party’s neglect of Juan, who are putting the blame for ruining the country on young people in order to rally core supporters.”

He then pointed out, “The Yoon Seok-yeol regime and the ruling party cannot win over the public opinion that will judge the regime, so they are trying to come up with the ‘youth judgement theory.’”

Spokesperson Kim asked, “Are we ruining the country if we are struggling to live in a country ruined by the government and the ruling party?” and urged, “Please judge this ridiculous regime in the name of the youth.”

Cheon Har-ram, chairman of the New Reform Party’s campaign committee, also criticized the Yoon Seok-yeol government in a post posted on social media, saying, “Why do you blame the youth when the Yoon Seok-yeol government can ruin everything it wants?”

Chairman Cheon raised his voice, saying, “Did the young people ask First Lady Kim Kun-hee to receive a Dior bag, did they ask to change the Yangpyeong Expressway route, or did they ask Minister Lee Jong-seop to flee to Australia?”

Former JoongAng Ilbo editorial writer Kim Jin appeared as a conservative panelist in MBC’s 100-minute debate yesterday and said, “The only variable that can make up for the ruling party, which is in crisis for the general election, is a very high voter turnout among those in their 60s or older,” and “‘Young people ruined it, young people made a mess.'” “The old man of the country saves us.’ Isn’t this something that has been written on walls since ancient Greece?”
