[마이데일리 = 이승길 기자] Comedian Park Myung-soo’s impression of winning the Prime Minister’s Commendation is a hot topic.
The ‘2022 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Award’, the government’s most prestigious award in the field of pop culture and the arts, was held at the Haeorum Theater of the National Theater of Korea on the 24th.
On this day, eight people (teams) received the Prime Minister’s Commendation: ▲ Actor Lee Seong-min, ▲ Singer Jang Pil-soon, ▲ Comedian Park Myung-soo, ▲ Singer (team) Jaurim, ▲ Director Yeon Sang -ho, ▲ Producer Kim Ji-yeon, ▲ Singer Zico, and ▲ Writer Kim Bo-tong.
After winning the award, Park Myung-su said, “I have become a comedian recognized by the country. I think I can speak with pride about it.”
He continued, “Since I haven’t been able to work on the airwaves since ‘Infinite Challenge’, I thought I’d see a male award this year as well, but it’s an honor to receive such a big award.”
On the other hand, there is the ‘Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards’ hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Bo-gyun Minister Park, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and supervised by The Korea Creative Content Agency (Director Cho Hyun-rae) raises the social status of popular culture and arts and contributes to the development of the popular culture industry and the spread of the Korean Wave. As an award to encourage them, it was awarded every a year since then 2010.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism selects candidates for the award through public competition and recommendation by experts, and comprehensively evaluates various items such as the length of nominations, performance of domestic and foreign activities, contribution to related industries, and contribution social, ▲ Medal of Cultural Merit (5 people), ▲ Presidential Citation (A total of 28 people (teams) were selected as winners, including ▲ Prime Minister’s Commendation (8 people/team), and ▲ Minister’s Commendation Culture, Sport and Tourism (9 people/team).
