Reduced Storage Capacity
Sony is currently selling a revised version of the digital PlayStation 5 Slim in the United States that features less internal storage then the original model. The updated console offers 825GB of SSD storage, a decrease from the original 1TB, and began appearing in Europe recently before becoming available on the US playstation Direct website.
Price Remains Consistent Despite Changes
Despite the reduction in storage space, the revised digital edition console maintains the same starting price of $499.99. YouTuber Austin Evans conducted a teardown of a European version of the updated PS5 Slim and discovered, in addition too the reduced storage, that the central black component and top side panels now have a matte finish, and identified some internal component adjustments.
