Islamabad: Former Pakistan pace bowler Shuaib Akhtar has left the stage after being insulted by a TV channel presenter on a live show.
Akhtar was dropped from a program on Pakistan Channel PTV that discussed Pakistan’s victory over New Zealand in the Twenty20 World Cup. Akhtar also announced his resignation as PTV’s cricket analyst.
During the discussion, Akhtar said that Pakistan Super League team Lahore Cavaliers found Shaheen Afridi and Harris Rauf. Akhtar said this despite a few questions from the presenter.

Dissatisfied, Akhtar left the studio.

Akhtar was accompanied by former players David Gower, Viv Richards, Rashid Latif, Umar Gul, Aqeeb Javed and Pakistan women’s cricket team captain Sana Mir. All of them were shocked when Akhtar left.
