The police arrested the woman who met the remarriage advertiser over the phone, seduced him and cheated him of lakhs of rupees. Vijayan’s daughter Arya V (36), who lives on rent in Kuttipuram, was arrested by the Koipram police. The lady is a native of Alappuzha Krishnapuram. In May 2020, Arya contacted Ajith, a native of Koipram Kadapra, after seeing a remarriage advertisement posted by him. The complaint is that they were in constant contact with Ajith from both mobile phones and extorted money by telling him that his sister was interested in marriage. The case is that Rs 4,15,500 was stolen several times between May 17 and December 22, through bank transactions on the basis of the mother’s treatment. The amount was transferred to South India Bank Katanam account. Apart from this, the young lady also took a new mobile phone from Oppo company worth Rs. 22,180. Realizing that he had been duped, Ajith lodged a complaint with the Pathanamthitta DySP on January 1 this year.
