Review of the Hansung TFX GTO Wireless Santorini Mechanical Keyboard: A High-Performance and Customizable Device

One of the reasons why more and more users are using mechanical keyboards is because the number of users who prefer high responsiveness and precision is increasing. It allows you to experience a special sensation and has a long service life due to its durability. Furthermore, it has the advantage of being able to be customized to your tastes as it has various switching options. Previously it was thought to be mainly used by gamers, but with the release of various switches, it is widely used without restrictions depending on the usage environment.

The mechanical keyboard presented in this post is the TFX GTO Wireless Santorini model from Hansung Computer. There are two colors: Santorini, which I’m using, and Robo. I can say that it is an overall satisfactory device, from the colors to the switches. Since it is a tenkeyless model, it can be said that it is a suitable product for users who appreciate space efficiency.

The components are quite different. Batteries are also included, so you don’t need to prepare them separately from the first use, which I think adds to the convenience. A cleaning brush is also included to keep it clean. Three additional switches are provided. The cable is made of a material that feels durable and also includes keycaps and switch removers, so it appears to have been designed with user convenience in mind.

An essential element, design

There are many people who think design is important. I am one of those people. Since I spend a lot of time holding a mechanical keyboard, even during work hours, I can’t help but notice it from time to time. It is also an element that desk terriers cannot miss, a word composed of desk and interior. The charm of this model is that it is based on white and has color accents here and there. The blue color reminiscent of the blue of the sea is a particular highlight.

The power button is located on the back. Additionally, a Type-C port is provided for use when making a wired connection.

Use pretty good batteries

If you open the bottom cap you will see where the key is inserted and, being wireless, it runs on batteries. The batteries used are AA type. I think there will be differences of opinion as there is no battery installed, but most mechanical keyboards I’ve used so far have short run times when using batteries, making frequent charging inconvenient. On the other hand, using batteries, you are free from charging and the autonomy is 1,000 hours, which is not short at all, so you don’t need to replace them frequently. It was actually better than the battery type.

In addition to dongle pairing, you can also connect via Bluetooth and wired, so you have a variety of options. It can be used according to the usage environment. In particular, if connected by wire, it works without batteries, so there are no major discharge problems. It’s nice not to have to worry about charging or batteries.

Hansung’s mold

The overall materials and quality are as good as the design. Basically, it was made from Hansung’s mold, so the level of completeness and finish is accurate, and it seems like a lot of attention was paid to quality control during the manufacturing process. In addition, sublimated keycaps are applied. Sublimated keycaps are a technology that applies color permanently, so they are long-lasting and the colors are accurately expressed. Touch sensitivity is also good.

Using the reinforcement plate

There are many reasons why reinforcement plates are used in mechanical keyboards, but they are generally known to help control noise. This model features a reinforcement plate made of FR-4 plating material, a type of fiberglass. This material is widely used in electronic products and has advantages in terms of mechanical strength. As we type, we stress it thousands or tens of thousands of times, which shortens its lifespan. Using FR-4 plated reinforcement plate, it reduces warping and damage while improving key feel and suppressing noise.

seal holder

The gasket holder is also applied on this model, which is mainly applied to high-end mechanical keyboards. Likewise, I understand that it plays a role in helping to suppress noise. Furthermore, it absorbs vibrations and shocks and also helps to increase sensitivity and provide a smoother feel when typing.

Equipped with Gateron’s G PRO 3.0 low-noise lube switch

It can be said to be a fundamental component in a mechanical keyboard, so much so that the type of switch used can be an important issue. This model is equipped with a silent lubrication switch which can be said to be a special Hansung shaft. Gateron switches, which are widely used in value-name mechanical keyboards considered famous, are used, and G PRO3.0 is installed to be exact.

soft feel

Since it was my first time using a switch, I had no idea what it would be like until I used it. What I felt while using it after unboxing is that it was very soft and light. But lightness does not mean the lightness of flying. It seems heavy, but it’s light enough to write quickly. Since it is a bit heavy, the chance of making a typo is extremely rare. If you’re looking for a style that puts less strain on your fingers, this switch might be for you.

No backlight, which can be controversial

The Hansung TFX GTO model has no backlight. Some users may feel a little disappointed by the lack of colorful RGB, but if you use it for office work rather than gaming like me, I think it’s better not to have it. The gator LED to the right of the ESC key is used to identify which device you are connecting to.

quick responsiveness

I usually use it by pairing it with a dongle. Since it is 2.4 GHz, it is highly responsive, so it can be said to be excellent for gaming purposes. Being a high-performance device, it naturally supports infinite simultaneous inputs.

I made a video to measure the keyboard noise of that model. Playing the film back after filming, it seemed so quiet that I wondered if the audio had been captured correctly. Please check what level it is. For your information, it is so quiet that there is no problem even if you use it in a quiet office.

Affordable price

As a result of monitoring during the writing of this article, it can be purchased for around 100,000 lows. I think it is relatively low priced compared to high priced models because it is a high end mechanical keyboard. There is a simple price advantage, but after actually using it and experiencing it, I can say that I am fully satisfied with the performance aspect.

If you need comfort

I think in this world, not only of mechanical keyboards, but also of the same model, the purpose and use environment may vary depending on the switches. It’s a field where there are so many different types that you always have to worry about what to choose. The RFX GTO Wireless Santorini model from Hansung Computer is suitable for use in quiet environments. My personal opinion is that nothing is missing in the design. This concludes the review. Thank you
