Ruble strengthens against euro to highest level in more than 2 years : InfoQuest

Reuters reported that The Russian ruble rose to its highest level in more than two years against the euro in early trading today. before being stabilized near Monday’s closing level. on tax-paying buyouts and speculation after interest rate cuts are expected on Friday.

As of 3:17 p.m. PST, the ruble gained 0.3% to 76.90 rubles per euro. After appreciation hit 75.95 rubles per euro. which is the highest level since the beginning of March 2020 and appreciated 0.1% against the dollar to 73.04 rubles per dollar.

However, trading remains limited and uncertain compared to levels before Feb. 24, the day when Russia sent tens of thousands of troops to invade Ukraine.
