Russian President Putin to Address G20 Summit on Unstable World Situation

MOSCOW – Russian President Vladimir Putin will deliver a speech at the upcoming Group of 20 (G20) summit, where he is expected to express his concerns regarding the highly unstable world situation, according to a statement released by the Russian President’s Office on Wednesday.

The summit, scheduled for the 22nd, will be held online and marks the first time in a long while that Putin and Western leaders will be participating, as reported by Pavel Zarubin, a journalist for Russian state television, on the social media platform Telegram on the 19th.

In addition to addressing the G20 summit, Putin is also slated to discuss the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Islamist group Hamas via video link at the BRICS summit on the 21st, as reported by the Russian News Agency (RIA).

MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin will address the Group of 20 (G20) summit to be held online and express his views on the “very unstable world situation,” the presidential office said on Wednesday.

Pavel Zarubin, a reporter for Russian state television, posted on Telegram on the 19th that the G20 summit will be the first time in a long time that Putin and Western leaders will participate.

According to the Russian News Agency (RIA), the G20 summit will be held online on the 22nd.

Separately, Putin is scheduled to discuss the conflict between Israel and the Islamist group Hamas via video link at the BRICS summit on the 21st, RIA said.
