In an exclusive report by Star News on September 2, it has been confirmed that Seo Hyun-woo and Park Ji-hwan will be starring in the upcoming drama ‘Not Powerful but Attractive Homicide Class’, also known as ‘Gangmaegang’.

‘Gangmaegang’ is a comedic crime investigation drama that tells the story of the lowest-ranked homicide squad in the nation joining forces with the best elite squad leader to become the strongest team. Each episode will showcase independent cases, providing fresh and unique entertainment through the changing chemistry of new characters and detectives.

Seo Hyun-woo will portray Jeong Jeong-hwan, a former national shooting athlete who became a detective after giving up his shooting career to focus on starting a family. Despite relying on modern medicine, Jeong-hwan’s wife keeps getting pregnant, resulting in him taking care of their four children while solving crimes.

Park Ji-hwan, on the other hand, will take on the role of Zero Gravity, a former national judo player who became a police officer. Despite his intimidating appearance, Zero Gravity is unexpectedly timid and deaf, earning him the nickname ‘ace’ for a brief period of time.

Kim Dong-wook has been offered the role of Dong-wook Dong-bin, the head of the homicide squad at Songwon Police Station. Dong-bin is a person with exceptional problem-solving skills, superior physical attributes, and a sharp intellect. Despite receiving offers from prestigious foreign universities, he chooses to lead the underperforming violent division 2 at Songwon Police Station.

The script for ‘Gangmaegang’ will be written by Lee Young-chul and Lee Kwang-jae, known for their work on ‘Potato Star 2013QR3’ and ‘Smashing on Your Back’. Lee Young-chul has had a successful career spanning 17 years, with notable works such as MBC’s ‘Unstoppable High Kick’, ‘Kimchi Cheese Smile’, ‘High Kick Through the Roof’, ‘High Kick!’, ‘The Counterattack of Short Legs’, and ‘Best Oriental Medicine’.

‘Gangmaegang’ will be produced by BA Entertainment, Green Snake Media, and Studio S, with filming set to begin at the end of next month.

Seo Hyun-woo and Park Ji-hwan took on the roles of Jeong Jeong-hwan and Zero Gravity, detectives in the homicide squad at Songwon Police Station, respectively. Jeong Jeong-hwan is a former national shooting athlete who became a detective by passing the police exam immediately after giving up shooting while his girlfriend was pregnant before marriage. In particular, despite the help of modern medicine, she is a lifestyle detective who gets pregnant every time she goes to bed and has four children under her care.

Writers Lee Young-chul and Lee Kwang-jae, who co-wrote ‘Potato Star 2013QR3’ and ‘Smashing on Your Back’ on Chosun TV, are responsible for the script for ‘Kang Mae-gang’.
