Snoop Dogg Outlines Enterprising Plans for Swansea City
American rapper and producer Snoop Dogg has expressed a desire to be actively involved in the advancement of Swansea City Football Club, aiming to propel the team back into the Premier League. He became an investor in the Championship club in July 2023, alongside Croatian midfielder Luka Modrić. Businesswoman Martha Stewart joined as a minority co-owner in December 2023.
Acknowledging the financial realities of modern football, Snoop Dogg stated the club’s ambition requires significant investment. Despite Swansea currently holding a 16th-place position in the English Championship as of January 31, 2024, he remains optimistic about the potential for a positive season.
“It’s been steady and even though swansea is a long-term project, we got to still dream for this season,” he said.
Snoop Dogg emphasized the importance of fan engagement, stating his intention to listen to the views of Swansea City supporters to gain a deeper understanding of the club. He described the fanbase as “passionate and real” and expressed a commitment to hearing their perspectives while in Swansea.
