He was produced in court and remanded in police custody. Mithun Chakraborty, 31, a former teacher at a private school in RS Puram where the girl had earlier studied, was arrested.

The parents, who demanded the arrest of the headmistress of the school, refused to accept the body of the girl who underwent postmortem at the Government Medical College Hospital. A 17-year-old student of Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School in RS Puram was found hanging at home on Thursday evening. Emperor Mithun resigned from the school in September. Emperor Mithun has also been charged with inciting suicide. Poxo also filed a lawsuit against the headmistress of a private school. They are in hiding.
