Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei commemorates the 97th anniversary of Sun Yat-sen’s death
Xinhua News Agency, Taipei, March 12 (Reporter He Zili Xu Ruiqing) The Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei held a number of activities on the 12th, “Resonance of the original sound, let love see” to commemorate the 97th anniversary of the death of Dr. Sun Yat-sen.
The memorial hall opened the hall that morning, offering groups from all walks of life to lay flowers to pay tribute to the bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen to express their remembrance and respect. The west plaza held the “Create Green Life Together” sapling donation activity, and presented 1,500 rhododendron, osmanthus and Tashiro grouper seedlings to citizens. In the afternoon, the Memorial Hall held a commemorative concert and invited the choir to perform.
The Memorial Hall also held a book donation activity of “Scent of Books”, providing more than 1,100 “Sun Xue” books published over the years and related wonderful picture albums, including ink painting, calligraphy, printmaking, photography, sculpture, etc.
The director of the museum, Wang Lansheng, said that the memorial hall donated saplings to the society to encourage the public to care for the green earth, held book donation activities to promote scholarly reading, and held a commemorative concert to commemorate Sun Yat-sen with singing.
