On April 26, the National Population and Social Security Research Institute published Japan’s population projections up to 2070. Japan’s total population, which is 126.15 million in 2020, is estimated to fall below 100 million in 2056 and reach 87 million in 2070. What are the implications of that?

The FOMC is held on May 3-4 to decide on monetary policy in the United States. Although the view that the 0.25% rate increase will be decided on the spot is growing, it is also seen as the end of the rate increase. What is behind that?
