The Taitung County Government held a project briefing today at the Taitung Chao Resort Hotel, attracting nearly a hundred travel, accommodation and tourism industry professionals. Bu Minzheng, director of the Transportation and Tourism Development Department of the Taitung County Government, said that this year is the first year of sustainable tourism in Taitung, and he will actively work with industry players to move towards the goal of international and local sustainable tourism development.
The Office of Transportation and Tourism explained that the selected operators will receive incentive support in response to low-carbon sustainable tourism-SDGS Inn workshops, on-site visits and guidance by experts to your home, and investment in action plans. From environmental protection and social responsibility to supporting the use of local products in Taitung, we will support local businesses in creating a unique and sustainable tourism experience.
In addition, special hotel certifications will continue this year to encourage operators to improve service quality, including Ironman-friendly, senior-friendly, pet-friendly, etc. At the same time, sustainable tourism training workshops will be held to strengthen the quality of tourism and accommodation, improve professional service standards, and encourage operators to apply for international certification to improve competitiveness.
