“To harm Germany as a business location,” Mast told t-online on Wednesday. “It’s not just the espionage and corruption allegations: the AfD wants to relieve the rich and burden working people.” When it comes to secure pensions, it is “blank in terms of content” and is worrying with its behavior “that urgently needed skilled workers are afraid to come to us.”

On Labor Day, Mast reminded people of the importance of May 1st from a social democratic perspective. “Hundreds of thousands will celebrate Labor Day today. This is also a clear commitment to our values, to our democracy in the country and in the company, and thus against the AfD.”
The motto for this year’s May 1st is “More wages, free time and security,” said the SPD politician. “This requires more collective bargaining and certainly no party that wants to undermine our democracy.”
