Bangalore: Thirty-seven people have been arrested for organizing a drunken party at a forested resort in Anekal. Most of those arrested in the raid yesterday morning were IT employees and Malayalee students.
Liquor bottles and other items were recovered from the party premises but no drugs were found. The Bengaluru police said that if a blood test reveals the use of intoxicants, a case will be registered with the Narcotics Department. 14 bikes and 7 cars were seized.
The party was organized on Saturday in violation of the night curfew. Police said some people escaped into the forest during the raid. Disc jockeys and models were brought from Goa. A model who was supposed to attend the party got in touch with the organizers and informed the police.
