The Polish Organization for the Promotion of Life initiated an operation to ring the bells for unborn babies and sent two bells to churches in Ukraine and Ecuador. Pope Francis blessed the two bells before the public reception.

“The Voice of the Unborn” is an action initiated by the “Promoting Life” Foundation of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception in Poland, which is dedicated to safeguarding the lives of the unborn. Inscribed on their bronze bell is a saying by Jerzy Popiełuszko: “A child’s life begins in the heart of the mother”, and the other is the fifth commandment of the Ten Commandments: “Don’t kill.”
Of the two bells that the Pope gave the blessing on that day, one will be sent to the parish of Saint John Paul II in Lviv, Ukraine; the other will be sent to the parish of Guayaquil in Ecuador.
