The Rising Demand for Logistics and Accounting Workers in Thailand: Opportunities for Immediate Employment

Thailand Continues to See High Demand for Logistics and Accounting Workers

A recent report by ManpowerGroup has revealed that the employment market trend in Thailand is on the rise, in stark contrast to the global trend, which is declining. The report identifies three key sectors – IT, logistics, and sales and marketing – that are in high demand in the Thai labor market.

Dr. Rachot Khamboon, the Dean of the College of Innovation of Business Administration and Accounting (CIBA) at Dhurakij Pundit University (DPU), highlights the significance of logistics and supply chain as the top sectors driving demand in the labor market. This increasing demand is attributed to the limitless development of communication technology, changing consumer behavior, and the exponential growth of e-commerce businesses. As a result, the logistics industry is expanding rapidly as it becomes essential for every business sector.

The government has also recognized the importance of logistics by including it as a key component of the national economic and social development plans. The thirteenth edition (2023-2027) emphasizes Thailand’s strategy as a regional gateway for trade, investment, and logistics, in line with the policy to enhance rail and other logistics systems connecting China to the region.
