Surprisingly, the person identified as a suspect was Yoo Gwang-kyung, the director of the Taekwondo gym the child attended. Mr. Yoo, known as ‘Master Ryan’ and ‘Ryan Yu’, is known as a successful Korean Taekwondo instructor. He was admitted to hospital the night before with injuries, and claimed to have been stabbed by an unknown person in a supermarket car park. Upon hearing the news that he had been arrested at the hospital as a suspect in a family murder, students and parents reacted with disbelief.

On February 19, Mr Yu is believed to have strangled a seven-year-old child and the child’s mother, who had come to take classes, in a room inside a Taekwondo gym. Then, around 9 pm, he is accused of going to the victim’s house using the victim’s vehicle and killing the child’s father with a weapon. He murdered Mr. Yoo two people in his Taekwondo gym, where it was clear that his crime would be discovered, and then he went to the victim’s home and murdered another person. Although he was injured during the murder, he calmly lied that an unknown person had attacked him in the car park.

At present, Mr Yu is exercising his right to remain silent and is denying the crime himself. Why did he brutally murder not only a Korean couple he knew, but also a child who was his student? Mr Yoo introduced himself to those around him as a member of the Australian national team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and that he had been appointed as a professor at Australia’s famous Macquarie University. His acquaintance defends him, saying that there must be unfair circumstances, saying that Mr. Yoo was a passionate and respectful educator who taught Taekwondo for free to the locals.

“There are identical twins who look exactly the same, and a lot of people say they’re misunderstood because of that.”

When tracking Mr. Yu’s real face, many reports came to the production team. What does the report say about suspicious twin identifications that look exactly like Mr Yu? What is Mr Yu’s real name, known as ‘Master Ryan’ and ‘Ryan Yu’, and how much of his seemingly successful life is true?

SBS’s ‘I Want to Know That’, which airs on the 16th, reveals the whole story of the family murder case through two weeks of on-site reporting in Australia, and reveals Mr. Yoo that he has been hiding.
