The skier who was injured in Jasná succumbed to them

Called mountain rescuers provided her with first aid and ensured air transport to the hospital, where, according to available information, she succumbed to her injuries. TASR was informed about this by Marián Galajda from the company that operates the center.

The event took place in Konský grúň. This happened after the mountain rescuers, in cooperation with the ski patrol, decided to close the highest pistes from Chopek to the north. The reason was the suddenly deteriorating conditions. “The conditions on the piste, which was passable during the morning inspection, changed within two hours. The wind increased to more than 80 kilometers per hour, which complicated safe driving,” approached Galaj.

At the top of Chopek, at the beginning of the routes to the north, they installed ropes blocking the entrance to the slope along with warnings indicating its closure. According to Galajd, the ski patrol went to the track at the same time to guide the skiers and help them go down safely. “For skiers who were unable to continue due to the conditions, snow tracked vehicles set out and took them to safety,” he said. He added that due to worsening conditions, the operation of the funitel cable car was also shut down.
