Time to Upgrade: HUAWEI Unveils Affordable Watch GT 5 Prices in Thailand, Starting at Just 6,990 Baht
HUAWEI Watch GT5 and Watch GT 5 Pro: Affordable Smartwatches for the Thai Market
HUAWEI has announced the prices of its Watch GT5 and Watch GT 5 Pro in Thailand, starting from 6,990 baht. This move aims to make HUAWEI a leader in the smartwatch market, with a more affordable price than the Apple Watch and compatibility with all smartphone operating systems.
HUAWEI’s Wearable Device Segment Leadership
Louie Hu, marketing director of Huawei Consumer Business Group in Southeast Asia, stated that HUAWEI became a leader in the wearable device segment globally and in Thailand last June. This achievement is attributed to HUAWEI’s in-house product research and development, as well as its production of a variety of products that create a complete ecosystem of applications.
HUAWEI Watch GT 5 Features and Pricing
The HUAWEI Watch GT 5 is available in two dial sizes: 41mm for women and 46mm for men, both starting from 6,990 baht. This smartwatch supports standard smartwatch functions, including notifications, smartphone connectivity, physical activity tracking, steps, and sleep via the HUAWEI TreSense platform. Additionally, it features health monitoring, such as heart rate, blood oxygen value, and stress measurement.
HUAWEI Watch GT 5 Pro: Additional Features and Pricing
The HUAWEI Watch GT 5 Pro is also available in two models: a 41mm ultra-resistant ceramic case starting from 12,990 baht and a 46mm model for men with a big case, starting from 9,990 baht. The Pro version adds additional health monitoring features, such as electrocardiogram (ECG) measurement, and more detailed exercise features, including a golf map and trail running route. It also supports activities like diving.
Competitive Pricing and Compatibility
Compared to major competitors in the market, such as the Apple Watch SE and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, the HUAWEI Watch GT 5 is priced lower and offers more comprehensive out-of-the-box functionality. Moreover, it supports working with Android and iOS operating systems on iPhone, including HarmonyOS, through the HUAWEI Health app, allowing users to use it without restrictions on operating systems.
