Kovid confirmed 9735 cases in Kerala today. 93,202 samples were tested in 24 hours. TPR 10.44%. Today, it has been confirmed that 151 deaths have been caused by Kovid in the last few days. This brings the total death toll to 25,677. The worst affected districts are Thrissur 1367, Thiruvananthapuram 1156, Ernakulam 1099, Kottayam 806, Palakkad 768, Kollam 755, Kozhikode 688, Malappuram 686, Kannur 563, Alappuzha 519, Pathanamthitta 514, Idukki 374, Wayanad 290 and Kasaragod 150. The Weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) covers 745 wards in 368 local bodies above 10. There will be strict control here.

There are currently 4,03,141 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 3,87,353 are under home / institutional quarantine and 15,788 in hospitals. A total of 1128 people were newly admitted to the hospital. At present, out of 1,24,441 Kovid cases, only 11.1 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.

Today, 36 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 9,101 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 529 is not clear. 69 health workers were affected by the disease. A total of 13,878 people who had been diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 1948, Kollam 172, Pathanamthitta 847, Alappuzha 868, Kottayam 977, Idukki 526, Ernakulam 2498, Thrissur 1432, Palakkad 734, Malappuram 1293, Kozhikode 1357, Wayanad 276, Kannur 796 and Kasaragod 154 were cured. With this, 1,24,441 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 45,88,084 have so far been freed from Kovid.
