Trump to Contact Elon Musk: Restore Internet in Iran
Washington D.C. – Former President Donald Trump said he intends to contact Elon Musk about restoring internet access to Iran, where authorities have cut off service during ongoing anti-government protests. Trump praised Musk and his company, SpaceX, on Monday, January 12, 2026, telling reporters, “HeS very good at that kind of thing, he has a very good company.”
Trump was responding to a question about potential cooperation with SpaceX,which provides satellite internet service through its Starlink network. Starlink has been used in Iran as protests continue.
