Russian forces launch unsuccessful attack on Ukrainian military in the Eastern Front
27th June, Reuters – Ukrainian military officials announced on Monday that they successfully repelled an attack by Russian forces in the Eastern Front. Simultaneously, analysts believe that Ukrainian forces are making significant progress on the southern front.
Since initiating a counter-offensive in June, Ukraine has reclaimed two crucial settlements, Andryevka and Kryschyvka, near Bakhmut in the eastern Donetsk region, over the last two weeks.
According to a spokesman for Ukraine’s Eastern Army, who appeared on state television, “We continue to repel heavy enemy attacks near Andryivka and Kryschyvka.” He further added, “The enemy is attempting to regain lost territory but without success.”

Additionally, Ukrainian forces are also moving southward towards the Sea of Azov in an effort to advance on Tokmak, the primary town in the southern Zaporozhye Oblast.
