Battleground’s tenth battlefield, Rondo, has completed its system changes with the third stage update “Terrain Destruction”.

Krafton announced a total of three phases of change by releasing Rondo, a new map for Battlegrounds. All battlefields released so far, including large cities, small towns, forests, rivers, plains and desert terrain, are added along with unique systems such as a shop where you can purchase equipment with coins earned on the battlefield and the destruction of terrain, making it the largest battlefield ever presented.

The third update, Terrain Destruction, added a sort of sandbox element to Battlegrounds for the first time, and new combat structures could be created by digging trenches or creating stable terrain during battle, increasing the number of response options depending on the situation.

Terrain destruction can be done using explosive abilities such as grenades, Panzerfaust and C4 to dig earthen floors up to 1.3 meters and with the addition of a new melee weapon, the pickaxe, it is now possible to directly dig a trench one desired location or change the height of the terrain.

Of course, terrain destruction is a more difficult function to use freely than you might think. To dig the ground with the pickaxe to the maximum depth, you have to dig more than 10 times, and even if you use explosives, it only applies to a large area and has no relation to the depth, so it takes a long time. Furthermore, due to the nature of battlefields, where the safe zone is constantly changing, it is difficult to constantly stay in the same place.

However, the utility value of using coverage is very high. If safety is ensured with objects such as vehicles, emergency cover flares and rocks, an environment for safe cover is created by creating a hole and a hill with a gentle slope can be created. used as a trench, which deserves sufficient research. It’s worth it.

Rondo has improved the completeness of the battlefield with three tiers of upgrades. At the time of the first release, the battlefield was very large, enough to fill an 8×8 map, and had no special elements, but with the addition of the market in the second update, the challenge elements were completed throughout the battlefield .

The market is divided into three tiers, and you can acquire item shops, weapons, garages, and random items that get paid every time you complete a game challenge, so instead of simply enjoying item farming and battle royale, you can earn gradually money through various challenges in the game.

The EMP zones that are located in a large area, two in each game, are also an interesting element. The EMP zone is a magnetic field storm that disables all electronic functions When Rondo was released, an anomalous effect occurred in an area such as Erangel’s Red Zone or Vikendi’s Blizzard Zone, but through updates, the reach has been increased to match the size. of the battlefield, creating a unique variable

As Rondo evolves, the new “Gun Lab” introduced in Battlegrounds is also creating synergy that exceeds expectations. In particular, with this update, the popular SCAR-L pistol has increased the rate of fire and reduced horizontal and vertical recoil, and its performance has improved to the point that anyone can feel it, so it is likely to become the main weapon of users’.

The usability of the SMG has also improved. When the SMG is equipped, the movement speed becomes the same as when unarmed, allowing for rapid response to sudden combat situations. The medium-range competitiveness of each weapon is increased, reducing the burden of having to use it only at close range.

Rather than being complacent, Battleground showcases endless changes and showcases new aspects to users. From Rondo, who completed a new challenge, to the return of the classic Erangel, announced in the future, users will be able to play endlessly on new battlefields.

Since Rondo’s appearance, Battleground’s user base has been steadily increasing. Rondo, completed with this update, has completed the stepping stone towards a new look by overcoming the barriers that until now existed as a “battlefield”.
