US President Biden’s Approval Rating Reaches Highest Level Since March: Latest Reuters/Ipsos Poll

US President Biden’s approval rating has surged to 42%, reaching its highest level since March, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll. This positive rebound comes in contrast to the previous rating of 40% in August. It’s worth noting, however, that Biden’s approval has remained below 50% since August 2021. The online survey, conducted from August 8th to 10th, encompassed 1,029 adults.

Democratic support for Biden saw a slight upswing, with 80% of Democratic voters expressing their approval. In contrast, only 9% of Republicans stated their support for Biden, reflecting the deep partisan divide prevalent in US politics.

The economy remains a top concern among voters, with 23% of respondents considering it the most pressing issue for the United States. Additionally, around 13% highlighted “crime and corruption” as their primary concern.

In a remarkable development, US Republican House Speaker McCarthy announced his intention on the 12th to initiate a formal impeachment inquiry against President Biden. This move comes as a House committee investigates potential financial misconduct involving Biden and his family.
