Valve announces the introduction video of the portable gaming PC “Steam Deck” to enjoy the rich Steam game lineup with you

Valve recently announced on its official YouTube channel an introduction video for the portable gaming PC “Steam Deck” designed for its Steam gaming platform, detailing the product features. It is scheduled to be launched in December 2021, with a price starting at US$399 (approximately NT$11,140).

“Steam Deck” is a portable gaming PC designed for the Steam gaming platform. It is equipped with an integrated AMD 4-core 8-thread Zen 2 CPU and 8 RNDA2 CU integrated processors, which can provide up to 1.6TFLOPS of graphics processing performance. Equipped with 5.5GT/s 16GB LPDDR5 memory, 64GB, 256GB or 512GB storage space, 1280×800 60Hz 7-inch touch LCD screen.

Steam Deck uses SteamOS 3.0 independently developed by Valve. Through the built-in Proton compatibility level technology, the game can be run on SteamOS without the developer’s additional porting. Players can access their favorite and favorite games just like logging in to Steam on the PC, and take them with them to play at any time, while enjoying the convenient functions provided by Steam, including chat, notifications, cloud archives, remote play, stores, and communities.

Steam Deck is scheduled to start shipping around the world from December 2021. The 64GB model is priced at US$399, the 256GB model is priced at US$529, and the 512GB model is priced at US$649. The first wave is only open for ordering in the United States, Canada, the European Union and the United Kingdom, and the rest of the region has yet to be announced.
