Where did your philosophy go? -Devendra Fadnavis to Uddhav Thackeray

New Delhi: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has attacked Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray for keeping quiet about the Congress’s decision to remove Savarkar and Hedgewar from the Karnataka school syllabus. Earlier, Uddhav Thackeray had warned Rahul Gandhi that Savarkar was their role model and a person to worship with God.

Fadnavis also accused Uddhav Thackeray of using his science behind him for power. “You can erase their names from the textbooks. But it cannot be erased from the heart. You cannot erase the name of a person who has contributed a lot for India’s freedom. I want to ask Uddhav Thackeray. You are the ones who stood shoulder to shoulder with the Congress in the Mahavikas Aghadi league in Maharashtra. What is your reaction now? Do you accept this insult on Veer Savarkar? Has everything been sacrificed for the sake of power?” asked Fadnavis.

Whatever the response, it should be said correctly. Do you fully agree with the Congress decision to clear Savarkar? What exactly is your opinion on this? Did you compromise for power?-Fadnavis continued.
