World Cup tickets in high demand: 2.35 crore bookings! | FIFA World Cup 2022 ticket booking

Doha: The second round of World Cup football ticket booking has received an enthusiastic response from fans around the world. The second phase, which ended on April 28, saw 2.35 crore bookings for tickets, according to FIFA.

Many people applied for tickets this time around from hosts Qatar and other major countries in the world of football. Eligibility for the ticket will be based on a random draw from the second round of bookings, which start on April 5 and end on April 28. Tickets can be purchased after May 31 by paying a random lottery result.

Most bookings come from Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Mexico, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United States. Tickets have been widely applied for by football fans, including locals and foreigners from Qatar.

The World Cup final on December 18 has the highest number of applicants. Argentina – Mexico, Argentina – Saudi Arabia, England – USA, Poland – Argentina are the most sought after teams in the group round. Many fans from Argentina and around the world are eager to witness Lionel Messi’s struggles in Argentina.

Although football fans from India topped the list in the first phase of sales, India was not in the list of the top seven countries in the second phase. However, Indian citizens from Qatar are increasingly in need of tickets.

In the first phase of ticket sales in January-February, 1.7 crore tickets were applied for. 8.4 lakh tickets were sold at the end of the draw. The second round of bookings began in April, shortly after the draw for the World Cup group stage matches.
