North Korea’s Sinpo-seo SLBM launches preparation trend … President Yun held a safety inspection meeting at Air Force Unit 1
The South Korean military is said to have detected a trend that North Korea is preparing to launch a submarine-launched ballistic missile and SLBM from the Sinpo area of South Hamgyong Province.
The presidential office said, “President Yun Seok-yeol held a security situation check meeting at Air Force Unit 1 shortly before departure for returning from his overseas trip and noted signs and movements of North Korean provocations, including SLBMs.
President Yoon instructed the defense minister to immediately implement the prepared countermeasures should a situation arise.
It is analyzed that the North Korean SLBM launch is a response to the arrival of Ronald Reagan, the US nuclear aircraft carrier, to the Busan Operation Base on the 23rd and the holding of joint South Korean-US exercises.
