AI EXPO KOREA 2024: A Glimpse into the Future of AI Technology

Over 300 companies and organizations from 11 countries took part, with over 450 booths.

‘AI EXPO KOREA 2024’, where you can check AI technology trends at a glance, will be held in Hall C of the COEX exhibition hall in Seoul for a total of three days from May 1 to 3.

AI EXPO KOREA celebrated its 7th anniversary this year after first being held in 2018 to create a domestic AI ecosystem and to develop and revitalize the artificial intelligence industry. It establishes itself as an exhibition that highlights the present and future of AI and confirms hot topic AI technology and real business application cases.

According to the exhibition’s organizing office, the number of pre-registered visitors is currently as high as 23,500. This number is 72% of last year’s total number of visitors of 32,526. It was revealed that over 40,000 people are expected to attend the exhibition over the three days it is running amid interest and anticipation.

This year’s AI EXPO will feature around 450 booths, with over 300 companies and organizations from 11 countries leading global AI workloads participating. From AI platforms and AI chips created at home and abroad to data centers and clouds, AI infrastructure will be instantly confirmed and directly demonstrated, highlighting the present of everyday life and industry and giving a glimpse into the future.

This year’s exhibition aims to provide clear answers about what the productive future of AI will mean for our companies and what innovations AI will bring to business and industry. It will present the business strategies of domestic and foreign AI companies and information on the application and introduction of AI, which will create new opportunities for the future.

A variety of side events are also held. Starting with an AI technology briefing at KAIST Kim Jae-cheol AI Graduate School, the overseas expansion briefings for domestic AI companies to advance overseas were ‘AI Global Expansion Day’, ‘AI Convergence Industry Forum’, ‘AI KIBWA Seminar EXPO’, and ‘AI SUMMIT EXPO KOREA’.

In particular, the ‘AI Convergence Business Development Conference 2024’, which seeks to connect AI and business, will be held on Friday, May 3 in Hall E on the 3rd floor of COEX. AI Tech 2024 will share the actual AI market environment and technology status under the theme ‘AI Frontier for AI Era’ and provide road map insights from AI infrastructure to commercialization. In addition, it is expected that business ideas will be presented with various empirical cases in the field of AI application.

There will be three keynotes in the morning, and two keynotes in the afternoon: ‘Into the world of Generative AI’, which shares information and insights on generative AI, and ‘Evolution of AI & Industry’, which explains applied AI . in the industry as it continues to evolve It progresses through tracks with different themes. The keynote speech will be given by Baek In-song, director of Microsoft Korea, Professor Emeritus Kim Jin-hyung of KAIST, and CTO Seung-jun Lee of Twelve Labs.

Track 1 features Upstage Senior Researcher Park Chan-joon, Select Star CEO Kim Se-yeop, LG CNS Dr. Joo Min-sik, Rebellion President Choi CBO, and 42Maru CEO Kim Dong-hwan participating, while that Track 2 includes Stradvision CEO Kim Jun -hwan, Allganize Team Leader Yoo Tae-ha, and Qualcomm Korea, Machinarax business development director Taewon Seo, and Qanda AI business technology director Byeongwoo Yoo.
