LG Electronics recorded record sales last year thanks to strong performance in the home appliance and electric vehicle businesses, but operating profit fell 12.5% compared to the previous year.
LG Electronics said in a public announcement that last year’s sales were 83.4 trillion won and operating profit was 3.5 trillion won.
In particular, operating profit in the fourth quarter of last year plunged by more than 90% due to a reduction in global demand.
