As the Special Investigation Headquarters of the National Police Agency, which is investigating the Itaewon disaster, announced that it would summon and investigate Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Commissioner Kim Kwang-ho as quickly as possible, the investigation is going up gradually.
Previously, through a YTN report, it was revealed that, before the disaster, Commissioner Kim had confirmed that there was a riot squad to be placed in Itaewon.
They seem to recognize the need to use the riot squad, but in reality, the reason why they didn’t use it is expected to be the crux of the investigation.

As the work of summoning and investigating the main suspects, including Inspector Ryu, approaches its final stage, the investigation into the Itaewon disaster is now going up.
The first gateway to the investigation is the head of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
The special edition announced that it would promptly summon the head of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Kim Kwang-ho, as soon as the investigation into the front-line employees of the Seoul Metropolitan Government was completed.
Commissioner Kim is suspected of ignoring the request for a security guard and of interfering in the process of deleting police intelligence reports related to Halloween.
Earlier, as a result of YTN’s comment, it was found that Commissioner Kim found that the riot police would be used during Halloween.
Commissioner Kim asked the Security Department of the Seoul Metropolitan Government over the phone if they could use a riot squad, but it was confirmed that the police officer who answered the phone at the time replied that it was difficult to use it.
Since then, Commissioner Kim has not taken any action, but apart from the facts about the riot squad request, it seems difficult to avoid responsibility if Commissioner Kim was aware of the need for the riot squad in the first place.
However, the special edition explained that there were no circumstances under which Commissioner Kim ordered or was involved in the suspected deletion of the intelligence report.
As the special version announced that it would review whether to apply for an arrest warrant for the main suspects around next week, when the first round of recruitment is complete, the special version’s investigation is expected to go higher, starting with Commissioner Kim.
