ASUS, a Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer, has recently released its flagship device, the ZenFone 10. Following the footsteps of HTC, ASUS has established itself as a key player in the Taiwanese market with their strategy of launching a new flagship device every day. ZenFone 10: Minimal Design Changes with 5 Major Upgrades
Continuing their strategy of compact phone models, ASUS has made minimal changes to the design of the ZenFone 10. 1. Upgraded Display
The ZenFone 10 boasts a 5.9-inch screen, maintaining its slim profile, but now with an impressive 144Hz refresh rate for an enhanced gaming experience. While not all Android games support this high refresh rate, it can be activated through the Game Genie interface. Additionally, the device supports an Always-On function and allows customization of screen patterns, making it more practical than its predecessor.
2. Upgraded Processor
Equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2, the ZenFone 10 boasts one of the most powerful processors in the Android market. While not specifically designed for intensive gaming, it performs exceptionally well under normal usage. ASUS has even developed a performance mode specifically for PUBG Mobile, although with certain limitations imposed.
3. Enhanced Audio Design
ASUS has amplified the audio capabilities of the ZenFone 10, delivering an immersive sound experience for gaming and multimedia consumption. The built-in speakers produce rich bass, which is surprising for such a compact device. In addition to hardware improvements, ASUS has introduced DiracVirtuo technology, enhancing the virtual surround sound effect for headphones during audio and video playback.
4. Fast-Charging Capabilities
In response to user demands, ASUS has finally incorporated fast-charging features into their flagship device. The ZenFone 10 supports 30W wired fast-charging and 15W wireless charging functionality. Although the charging speed is noteworthy, safety remains a priority.
5. Photography Features to be Tested
Photography has always been a significant focus in the ASUS ZenFone series. The ZenFone 10 retains the 50-megapixel IMX766 main camera from its predecessor. However, ASUS claims that the upgraded 6-axis stabilization, labeled as “2.0,” enhances the optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS) capabilities.
