Candidate Kim issued a statement on the same day and said, “After being nominated as the candidate for the Minister of Health and Welfare, numerous criticisms have been raised about the private lives of family members that have no objective basis or have nothing to do with me. I have repeatedly explained that this is not the case, but in the process, it was very difficult for my family to be hurt as well as my honor, who lived without shame as a public official.”
Candidate Kim said, “In particular, political funds are intentionally useless for private purposes at all, and although this is a problem caused by a practical error in the accounting process, he humbly responds to the point that, apart from this fact, he cannot be free from management responsibilities in the end. We want to accept it.”
Candidate Kim said, “However, in the current system where the standards and management of political funds are ambiguous, controversies related to political funds will continue to appear. We request that institutional supplementation of funds be made.”
He continued, “I would like to thank President Yoon Seok-yeol and everyone, including my family, who have supported and supported me during this time. I hope that my resignation will serve as an opportunity to restore the politics of the National Assembly for the people. I will do my best to do my best in any position I am in.”
